Donald and Melania Trump landed at London Stansted for his second UK state visit. Lip reader Nicola Hickling says Trump turned to Melania on the steps and said, “Ooh, it’s cold. I’m glad we’re wearing our coats,” and cautioned her to be careful.
Greeting dignitaries—UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper, US Ambassador Warren Stephens, and Viscount Hood—Trump reportedly added, “It’s so windy, her hair has blown everywhere,” as Melania battled the gusts.
The arrival drew protests, including a projection linking Trump with Jeffrey Epstein on Windsor Castle. Still, Trump told reporters he felt honored and was excited for the visit, which follows his first state trip in 2019.
Plans include the largest-ever guard of honor with flyovers, and a banquet at St George’s Hall. On the agenda: a multibillion tech deal with PM Keir Starmer on data centers and AI, plus UK pushes for continued US commitment to NATO and support for Ukraine; Trump also praised King Charles as a “friend” and “elegant gentleman.”
