Christina Applegate Hospitalized With Serious Infection

Actress Christina Applegate, best known for her roles in Dead to Me and Married… with Children, recently shared an emotional update about her health journey since being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) in 2021.

On a recent episode of her MeSsy podcast, co-hosted with fellow actress Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Applegate revealed that she has been hospitalized more than 30 times over the past few years. She explained that many of these hospital visits were due to severe symptoms such as vomiting, digestive issues, and pain, which can accompany MS and its complications.

The most recent episode was recorded while Applegate was in the hospital being treated for a serious kidney infection, according to reports from People and E! News. She clarified that recording from the hospital wasn’t planned — the timing simply coincided with her scheduled session.

While discussing her challenges, Applegate remained hopeful. She reassured listeners by saying she is continuing to fight through the difficult days and expressed her gratitude for the support she’s received from fans and others living with chronic illnesses.

Through her podcast and public appearances, Applegate continues to raise awareness about MS, providing comfort and connection to those navigating similar health battles. Her honesty has inspired many while shedding light on the realities of living with a lifelong condition.
