My Daughter’s In-Laws Took Almost All Money I Gave My Kid for Her Wedding, Making Her Look like a Pauper, So I Struck Back

Hazel is furious when she learns her daughter Jinny’s wedding was ruined by selfish in-laws who stole the money she had saved. Determined to expose their deceit, she sets out to gather evidence and fight for justice.

“I can’t believe this,” I muttered, staring at the shabby wedding photos on my laptop. Jinny’s big day—meant to be beautiful—took place in a rundown café. Her dress looked cheap, nothing like what I’d dreamed for her.

A friend confirmed my worst fear: Nathan’s parents, Diane and Charles, had taken the wedding funds for their own home repairs and car. Heartbroken but resolute, I focused on recovering my health so I could travel from Australia to the US and support Jinny.

When I arrived unannounced, Jinny broke down. She’d been manipulated into transferring the money to her in-laws, too scared to confront them. “You’re not alone anymore,” I told her. “We’ll fix this together.”

I hired a private investigator and lawyer. Within days, we uncovered Diane and Charles’s history of scams. Armed with evidence, I organized a surprise family meeting at a fancy restaurant.

As the projector lit up with proof of their theft, their smug faces turned to shock. Nathan was devastated. “I had no idea,” he said to Jinny. She stood strong: “I deserve better.”

Outside, a reporter captured our story. It went viral overnight. The in-laws faced legal consequences and were forced to repay the money.

With the funds restored, Jinny and I planned the wedding she truly deserved. This time, I was there to watch her walk down the aisle—radiant and surrounded by love.
