After 38 years at the clinic, Fern retires and brings home a cake to celebrate—only to find her house locked, her suitcases on the porch, and a note from her daughter-in-law, Delia. Fern and Bonnie save the footage and plan a backyard “premiere.” When Thomas returns, they project the video on a sheet and show him Delia’s sticky-note eviction, proving she lied about Fern’s “choice” to move out. Thomas is devastated but decisive—he tells Delia to pack and leave.
