KISS legend Gene Simmons is recovering at home after being briefly hospitalized on October 7, 2025, following a car accident in Malibu. The 76-year-old musician reportedly fainted while driving his Lincoln Navigator, causing it to hit a parked car along the Pacific Coast Highway. Thankfully, no serious injuries were reported.
Simmons’ wife, Shannon Tweed, assured fans that he’s “doing well” and that doctors simply adjusted his medications and encouraged him to stay hydrated — something she joked he’s “not thrilled about.” The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that Simmons lost consciousness before the minor collision.
After returning home, Simmons left a message for NBC4 Investigates and later posted on X, telling fans, “I’m completely fine. Just a small fender bender — it happens, especially to bad drivers like me. All is well.” The incident came just days after he and Shannon celebrated their wedding anniversary, which she marked with a heartfelt Instagram post.
The timing comes ahead of the much-anticipated “KISS Kruise Land Locked in Vegas” event, set for November 14–16, 2025, at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas. The shows will feature unmasked acoustic and electric performances by KISS members and guest artists including Sebastian Bach and Bruce Kulick. Meanwhile, former bandmate Ace Frehley is also focusing on recovery after his own recent fall, pausing his 2025 tour to rest and heal. Fans continue to send their best wishes to both rock icons as they prioritize their health.
