Before her unexpected passing at 23, actress Isabelle Tate had joyfully returned to acting and spent time with loved ones earlier this year. Her agency, McCray Agency, confirmed she died peacefully from a rare form of Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMT). Tate had just resumed her career, landing a role in the pilot of ABC’s 9-1-1: Nashville, filmed in June and premiered on October 6.
Her family, including her parents, stepfather, and sister, now mourn an unimaginable loss. A public visitation is set for October 24 at Forest Hills Methodist Church in Brentwood, Tennessee, followed by a funeral service. Instead of flowers, donations are encouraged to the Charcot-Marie-Tooth Association.
Co-star Hunter McVey remembered Tate warmly, saying she brought positive energy to their scene and left a lasting impression. The agency also paid tribute, expressing gratitude that she had the chance to shine again on screen and stating she would be greatly missed.
Born and raised in Nashville, Tate pursued both acting and music, often writing and recording songs with friends. Diagnosed with CMT at 13, she faced her progressive condition with resilience and used her platform to advocate for invisible disabilities. Her final Instagram post in January 2025 captured her outdoors with friends, radiating quiet strength and joy.
