Three Young Indiana Sisters Found Dead at Home – Their Heartbroken Father Speaks Out

In Wolcottville, Indiana, a heartbreaking tragedy claimed the lives of Rebecca Hughes and her three young daughters, Evalynn, Allison, and Amelia. Police are still investigating the circumstances, but have confirmed there is no ongoing threat to the public.

The girls’ father, Jonathan Newell, spoke openly about his grief. Exhausted from long work shifts, he initially thought his daughters were safe until officers arrived at his door with the devastating news. “Sometimes you’re mad. Sometimes you’re sad. Other times you feel like you’re not even there,” he said.

The tight-knit community quickly rallied around Jonathan. Neighbors created a memorial of flowers and stuffed animals outside the family’s home. A GoFundMe campaign for the children’s funeral expenses exceeded its $30,000 goal in just 12 hours, with donations now surpassing $45,000. “People who didn’t even know us started giving and sending messages,” Jonathan shared tearfully.

Friends remembered Rebecca as a loving, if struggling, mother. Her friend Ashley asked people to show compassion, reminding others that Rebecca had her own battles.
