Ripples in jeans are common and usually caused by stretched elastic fibers, hot washes, high dryer heat, tight fits, or improper storage. Modern denim with spandex is especially prone to waviness over time.
To prevent it, wash jeans less often, always use cold water on a gentle cycle, skip the dryer, and hang them instead of folding. If ripples already appear, steaming, low-heat ironing, or reshaping while damp can help. With the right care, your favorite denim can stay smooth and wearable much longer.
