Attention later shifted to the message written on the intruder’s back, which read “Trade with Athena” along with the handle “@FXALEXG,” leaving viewers wondering if it carried political or social meaning.
The disruption turned out to be a publicity stunt by day trader Alex Gonzales, who has previously pulled similar stunts to promote himself, including another Super Bowl incident in 2024. He was quickly tackled—reportedly with help from Patriots rookie Kyle Williams—before being arrested and charged with trespassing and field intrusion by Santa Clara police.
