The release of additional Jeffrey Epstein files by the U.S. Department of Justice has renewed public discussion, particularly within the entertainment industry. Officials say the archive contains millions of emails, photos, and documents spanning decades and referencing hundreds of prominent figures from politics, business, and media. In a February update to Congress, the DOJ noted that 305 well-known individuals are mentioned somewhere in the records, while emphasizing that inclusion does not imply wrongdoing or criminal conduct.
Among those referenced are both historical and contemporary figures, including Marilyn Monroe, Kevin Spacey, Brett Ratner, Barbra Streisand, Woody Allen, and others connected to various social events and communications. Authorities stress that aside from Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell—who was convicted in 2021—no individuals named in the materials have been charged in connection with his crimes. Officials continue to underline the distinction between being mentioned in documentation and being accused of misconduct, as public scrutiny surrounding the archive remains ongoing.
