Justin Thomas has revealed what Tiger Woods’ son, Charlie, is really like behind-the-scenes amid claims he is set to follow in his dad’s footsteps.Two-time major winner Thomas is one Woods’ closest friends on the PGA Tour, having built up a sibling-like relationship with his fellow American as they played together for decades.Because of their close relationship, Thomas has also seen Woods’ 17-year-old son, Charlie, grow up, as he also hopes to make a name for himself on the golf course.Last month, Charlie announced that he would be playing college golf at Florida State University in the 2027 recruiting class, with reports saying that he is highly talented and able to compete with the best at his level.
And now, Thomas has spoken out to reveal just how good Woods’ prodigy really is, and how he behaves behind the scenes.During an appearance on ‘The Smylie Show’, Thomas was asked about his relationship with Charlie and if he feels like he is a big brother to the young golfer.I wanna be if he wants me to be,” the 32-year-old admitted.”I was very lucky to have some people like that in my life and I know how helpful that was… I wanna help in any way I can. He’s grown up a lot. He’s still a little punk but not a total punk kid. He can beat me up so I can’t say too much.”Thomas explained that Charlie is already able to play as well, if not better than some players on the Tour, suggesting he is more than capable of stepping into his dad’s big shoes later in his career. He added: “The shots that he can hit, a lot of guys on Tour can’t hit. He’s very, very impressive and I’m rooting for the best.”
