In the footage, Woods thanked officers before saying he had “just been talking to the president,” apparently referring to Donald Trump, who later described Woods as a “close friend.” Woods also explained he looked at his phone before hearing a “boom.” Deputies said they believed his faculties were impaired and placed him under arrest. Woods has since pleaded not guilty and announced he would step away from public life to focus on treatment and recovery.

Meanwhile, activist Benjamin Owen claimed he was restrained by locals after trespassing on Little Saint James, the former private island owned by Jeffrey Epstein. Owen, founder of the anti-trafficking organization We Fight Monsters, said he entered the island to conduct research and draw attention to exploitation cases connected to Epstein. Authorities reportedly found him tied up with duct tape after receiving reports of a kidnapping.
