Simone Biles’ Parents Who Took Her from Foster Care Aren’t Fans of Her ‘LA House’ in Houston

Simone Biles has once again proven why she is considered one of the greatest gymnasts in history after making a triumphant return at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Following her difficult experience during the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, where she withdrew from several events to prioritize her mental health after suffering from the dangerous condition known as the “twisties,” many wondered if she would ever compete at the same level again. Instead, Simone returned stronger than ever, helping Team USA secure another gold medal while adding to her remarkable collection of Olympic and World Championship medals. Her comeback inspired millions around the world, not only because of her athletic dominance but because she openly showed that mental health matters just as much as physical health. Away from gymnastics, Simone also embraced a joyful new chapter in her personal life by marrying Jonathan Owens in 2023. The couple celebrated with both a private civil ceremony and a lavish destination wedding in Cabo San Lucas surrounded by family and friends.

Before becoming an international superstar, Simone endured an extremely difficult childhood marked by poverty and instability. She and her siblings were placed in foster care after their biological mother struggled with substance abuse and could not properly care for them. Eventually, Simone and her younger sister were adopted by their grandparents, Nellie and Ronald Biles, who provided the love and support that helped shape her future. Her passion for gymnastics began during a school field trip, where coaches quickly recognized her extraordinary talent. Today, Simone enjoys a successful life in Houston, Texas, where she previously lived in a modern $2 million home often described as looking more like a stylish Los Angeles property than a traditional Texas house.
