Before a fatal collision on an active runway at Denver International Airport (DEN), the man involved had a long and troubled history marked by repeated arrests, incarceration, and periods of homelessness. The incident occurred around 11:19 p.m. on May 8, 2026, when Frontier Airlines Flight 4345 was preparing for departure to Los Angeles. According to airport officials, a pedestrian later identified as 41-year-old Michael Mott breached airport security by jumping the perimeter fence and was struck by an Airbus A321 during takeoff just minutes later.
