Hilaria Baldwin has revealed the simple philosophy that has helped her marriage to Alec Baldwin thrive for more than a decade despite their 26-year age difference. Speaking at Spotlight magazine’s cover party in New York, Hilaria explained that one of the keys to their lasting relationship is allowing each other the freedom to be themselves. She said that although they are “polar opposites” with very different personalities, they have learned not to force change on one another. According to Hilaria, giving each other space has strengthened their bond and contributed to the success of their 14-year relationship. The couple married in 2012 and later shared their family life with viewers through their 2025 reality series, “The Baldwins.” Hilaria also laughed about public perceptions of their age-gap romance, admitting that the idea of a young yoga instructor marrying a wealthy, famous older actor sounds like something out of a comedy sketch.

In addition to respecting each other’s individuality, Hilaria said that regular date nights play a major role in keeping their connection strong. Despite busy schedules and frequent work-related travel, the couple makes time to spend together and prioritize their relationship. Alec praised his wife as a hardworking and remarkable person, saying he admired her long before she became well known. Together, they are raising seven children and have built a family-centered life that Alec says he rarely wants to leave behind.
