Amber Luke, often referred to as one of the world’s most tattooed women, has once again drawn attention after traveling nearly 10,000 miles from Australia to Barcelona for additional body modifications. Known for having around 98 percent of her body covered in tattoos, Amber has spent an estimated £200,000 transforming her appearance through tattoos, piercings, and extreme cosmetic procedures. Her latest modification, a “coin slot” in her ear, involves removing part of the ear cartilage to insert multiple rings, a procedure that is heavily regulated or restricted in Australia. Amber explained on social media that she was eager to complete the modification after previous issues with her ear and described the result as something she believed would “look awesome.” Alongside the ear procedure, she also planned to undergo a silicone implant modification while visiting Europe.

Before becoming famous for her dramatic appearance, Amber looked very different and began her tattoo journey at just 16 years old. By the age of 20, she had committed to covering her body almost entirely in ink, eventually achieving the heavily tattooed look she is now known for worldwide. Despite criticism and challenges, including difficulty finding employment because of her appearance, Amber has consistently defended her choices and said she has “no regrets” about her body modifications. She believes self-expression is more important than fitting into conventional beauty standards and has made it clear that she would rather avoid workplaces that judge her appearance. Her willingness to travel across the world for procedures highlights the dedication she has toward achieving the bold and unconventional look she desires.
