In the image, Arthur is smiling brightly and giving a double thumbs-up while sitting in a large pile of white powder near his family’s home in Ipiranga, Paraná. Neither Arthur nor his family realized the substance was limestone powder, a construction material that can become dangerous when inhaled. What appeared to be harmless dust quickly turned deadly.
