Father Was Days from Reuniting with His 4 Children When They Were Found Dead Under ‘Heartbreaking Circumstances’

A father was counting down the days until he could finally reunite with his four children after years of fighting for time with them. Brady Harmon was preparing for a long-awaited summer visit scheduled to begin on July 1, unaware that a devastating tragedy was unfolding inside the New York apartment where his children lived. After neighbors became concerned and requested a welfare check on June 23, authorities entered the home and discovered six people dead, including Harmon’s children, their mother Sarah Myers, and grandmother Amy Steadman. The loss of Harper, Hudson, and twins Gavin and Gracelynn left the community devastated. Investigators later uncovered a complicated family history involving custody disputes, legal battles, and growing tension surrounding the upcoming visitation arrangement.

As detectives examined the case, they discovered details that pointed to a planned act rather than an accident. Authorities found evidence suggesting intentional poisoning and other fatal injuries, while a handwritten note reportedly connected Steadman to the deaths. The investigation focused on resentment surrounding the children leaving for their summer visit with their father after years of separation. Harmon said he had spent thousands of dollars and years fighting through the legal system to maintain a relationship with his children, describing the loss as unbearable. Instead of welcoming his children back into his life, he was left planning their funerals and mourning the future they would never have. The tragedy has shaken the entire community, leaving neighbors, investigators, and loved ones searching for answers after the heartbreaking loss of six family members.
