Erin Piacenti, a 32-year-old Bank of America vice president, was walking along Seventh Avenue near 42nd Street around 4:30 p.m. on August 31, 2026. Only moments earlier, a 68-year-old visitor from Rhode Island had reportedly been attacked one block away while standing beside his wife. Police said Pamela Cisneros approached the couple carrying two knives concealed in a red shopping bag. She then continued north toward the crowded intersection.
