The disappearance of three young women in La Matanza, Argentina, shocked the country and ended in tragedy when the bodies of Brenda, Morena, and Lara were found. Security cameras showed them getting into a white Chevrolet Tracker with altered plates in La Tablada. Investigators traced the van’s route about 30 km to Florencio Varela, where the victims were discovered buried in a house’s garden. The van was later found burned in a nearby field.
Authorities believe the girls were deceived by a transnational criminal group that lured them to an event under false pretenses. Four people were arrested and charged with aggravated homicide: Miguel Angel Villanueva Silva (27), of Peruvian nationality, and three Argentines, Iara Daniela Ibarra (19), Andres Maximiliano Parra (18), and Magali Celeste Gonzalez Guerrero (28). The families, devastated by the loss, are demanding justice and fear the crime could go unpunished. Lara’s aunt said, “We want justice. They cannot take three girls and end their lives like this,” while Brenda’s mother declared,
“I want everyone involved to face justice. None of them deserved this.” The case has sparked national outrage, highlighting concerns about organized crime and public safety, as families insist that all responsible be held accountable to prevent such a tragedy from happening again.
