13 Tutors Whose Students Are a Constant Source of Funny Stories

Some people may think that the job of a tutor is something simple — a couple of lessons a day, and you get a nice income. But in reality, this profession is much more complicated. Tutors don’t just explain the lesson, they face daily tasks that require stamina, flexibility and the ability to find an approach to the most diverse students.

I work as a tutor. A rich man calls me, “You need to explain all the English language tenses to my daughter in 4 hours!” The money he offered was really big.
The funny thing is that in case the girl doesn’t learn the material, he came up with a punishment for me — I have to return all the money back and explain the reasons for failure in writing. I refused.
My son had a math tutor — an Olympiad-level guy, very polite and pleasant. And then he abruptly refused to work with my son and wrote me an angry letter. It turned out that my child solved all the problems faster than the tutor and always told him that he needed to think faster. Like he was too slow to be a tutor.
I didn’t hire a math tutor anymore. My son became interested in chemistry, and our cleverest tutor at some point said that he no longer corresponded to the level of my son and decided to end their lessons. I could barely persuade him to stay: my son said that he needed psychological support from the tutor
