A helicopter accident in Rio de Janeiro killed Oliver Tree, Gaspar “Gaspi” Prim, and others. Videos recorded just before the accident show what the famous singer’s final days looked like.Two helicopters reportedly collided mid-air and then crashed to the ground in a fatal accident on June 14. The crash claimed the lives of all six people on board. Tree, who achieved fame with hit songs including” Life Goes On” and “Miss You,” was among them.Images from the scene showed wreckage scattered across the area as emergency crews responded. Aircraft debris and vehicles on the ground were seen engulfed in flames while investigators worked to determine what caused the collision.More than 20 cars caught fire after the helicopters crashed, according to CNN. Local police confirmed that the investigation remains ongoing. The local Fire Department, CET (Traffic Engineering Company), Comlurb, and teams from the 31st BPM (Recreio dos Bandeirantes) have been working to isolate the area.
The Brazilian Air Force said in a statement: “The Brazilian Air Force (FAB), through the Center for Investigation and Prevention of Aeronautical Accidents (CENIPA), informs that, this Sunday (June 14th), investigators from the Third Regional Service for Investigation and Prevention of Aeronautical Accidents (SERIPA III), based in Rio de Janeiro (RJ), were called to carry out the Initial Action of the incident involving two aircraft, registration numbers PP-MAC and PR-DJJ, in Recreio dos Bandeirantes, in the Southwest Zone of Rio de Janeiro (RJ),” according to Page Six.
